Salvador Dali's Childhood
Salvador Dali was born on May 11, 1904, in Figueres, Spain. Salvador argued many times with his father and his classmates. HIs mother on the other hand, often encouraged and influenced him in his art. Salvador Dali was intelligent and produced advanced draws at a young age. In 1921, he convinced his father that he could make a living as an artist. Before sending him to art school, they built him his own studio. Salvador dali was also infuenced by the dreamlike paintings produced by the artist, Giorgio de Chirico. Also in 1921, his mother died of breast cancer. His father then maried Salvador's aunt. This did not help his realationship towards his father. Salvador and his father would have many more arguments untill the older Dali died.
